Indigo Cotton Jersey, Stripes & Slub

A limited run of yarn-dyed indigo jersey knits, the deep blue of washed denim in a soft knit. Six patterns: a plain slub, four cotton stripes and one drapey Tencel stripe. Made for tees, long sleeves, dresses, tanks and casual tops. Quantities are limited and will not be restocked.

• Look: solid indigo with the uneven, textured slub yarn that gives a lived-in, vintage feel

Random Stripe · KBM0101035

• Content: 100% cotton, laundered
• Look: cream stripes in mixed widths with thin pinstripes in between, on indigo, washed look
• Width: 70"
• Best for: tees, long sleeves, casual tops

Pinstripe Band · KBM0101031

• Content: 100% cotton
• Look: indigo with light gray bands, each band made of fine white pinstripes, so it reads heathered from a distance
• Width: 72"
• Best for: tees, polos, casual tops

• Content: 100% cotton
• Look: bold, even block stripe, indigo and white bands of about the same width
• Weight: the heaviest of the group
• Width: 70"
• Best for: boxy tees, long sleeves, sweatshirt-style tops

• Content: 100% TENCEL™ lyocell
• Look: even light blue stripe on a dark indigo that reads almost black
• Hand: smooth, cool and drapey

Slub Breton Stripe · KBM0101032 · Torque

• Content: 100% cotton
• Look: classic breton: an even cream stripe on indigo, with slub texture
• Width: 66"
• Please note: this fabric has torque (spirality). The knit has a slight twist, so side seams can rotate after washing and the stripes can run slightly off straight. Pre-wash before cutting and plan for it: best for relaxed or boxy cuts, scarves and projects where a slight bias is not a problem. Priced lower for this reason.

Care

We recommend washing before you cut and sew. Cotton and Tencel knits can shrink in the first wash. Pre-wash and dry the fabric the same way you plan to care for the finished garment. Indigo can bleed in the first washes: wash with darks, in cold water.

Cold wash, tumble low or line dry. No bleach.

Sold by the yard. Cuts are continuous, order 2 yards, get one 2-yard piece.
